GOSPEL - Beresford Dawkins

Beresford Dawkins is an artists and producer who in 1992 with other artistic associates founded ‘The Well’, a live monthly gospel event which included music production, promotion, and artist management.

After many years in gospel music promotions he was presented the GXMMA UK award in 2016 for his contribution and services to Gospel Music over 24 years.

Since 2011 Beresford has been partnering with Gospel Central which is a live gospel music showcase operating out of the Jam House, in Birmingham.

More recently Beresford has been investigating the inequalities experienced within Black African Caribbean communities, to determine how Pentecostal faith, music and arts can influence systemic change.  Over the past 8 years Beresford has led in the delivery of music and arts events, forum theatre, drama and media programs that challenge mental health stigma.

Beresford is currently working with civic leaders to see Birmingham become the Capital of Gospel Music.
